Status Report - 2018.04.01 - Lancashire Component Video, 2 Week Delay, Preorder Cutoff April 4
over 6 years ago
– Mon, Apr 02, 2018 at 12:45:09 AM
TL;DR - Production Samples Arrived - Birmingham looks great. Lancashire are missing distant market wooden token. This will take 2-3 weeks to correct (no this is not an April Fools joke). We are frustrated and apologetic for this. The samples look amazing and we are extremely happy with how the game has turned out. We have included a video below of a production copy of Lancashire, as well as a few photos.
Manufacturing
Manufacturing is complete for the game. We received a production sample of Brass Lancashire on Tuesday, and then Birmingham on Thursday of this past week. We went over each of the games with a Fine Toothed comb. We found an error that needs to be resolved: Lancashire did not include the white distant cotton marker. This was feedback that we provided to the manufacturer with the pre-production proof, however through a misinterpretation, the manufacturer did not realize this was a wooden component and assumed it was a collation error. Long story short, this component needs to be manufactured and put into all the games. We are doing this as fast as we can. Best case scenario is a 2 week delay. We have updated the schedule to assume a 3 week delay.
Because of how late in the process this was discovered, there are a lot of moving parts that need to be ground to an immediate halt in order to resolve the situation. This is the first time we have experienced a problem like this at the time of assembly. While we this error was a simple case of human miscommunication, we take full responsibility for this delay and we are disheartened and extremely sorry that it has happened. We are working as fast as we can to resolve it.
We have updated the schedule to reflect this 2-3 week delay.
LAST CHANCE FOR PREORDERS
As we have been getting so many last minute emails from people asking us to extend it a few days so they can get some cash together. We will be cutting deluxe preorders off on April 4. This is the last opportunity to purchase Brass Deluxe until we are able to reanalyze stock levels after fulfillment is complete.
Photos & Video
George (Yorgos) Georgeadis from Oniro was awesome enough to do a cinematic reveal for us for both Lancashire and Birmingham. Birmingham will be revealed in the next update. Please have a watch of the video below!

Status Report - 2018.03.12 - Manufacturing Nearing Completion
almost 7 years ago
– Tue, Mar 13, 2018 at 02:07:40 AM
TL;DR - Slated completion date for Brass production is March 23. We will have final production samples by around March 20. From there it will take 3-6 days to get on the boats. Freight is coming! Finally!
Manufacturing
Some of the parts are completely done. Others, like the boards are nearing completion. We have an estimated completion date of March 23 for a total and final completion. We are hopefully optimistic that this deadline holds.
Final Approvals & Freight Begins
Before we begin freight, we need to provide final approval on the games. Because we are producing so many copies of Brass, we feel strongly that we need to perform a final inspection of the games before they are loaded onto containers. Once I've approved these (hopefully on March 24), the factory will book trucks to take the product to port, where they will be loaded on to containers, and freight will finally begin, hopefully around March 29. From there freight will take 4-6 weeks depending on delays at port, etc. From there we will begin fulfillment promptly.
Fulfillment
We have been in constant communication with the fulfillment partners in each shipping zone and we have our ducks in a row.
Thanks For Your Patience
Seriously. We are utterly thankful for your continued patience as we complete the next major step in this long journey towards completing the game. Your patience has really allowed us to make a product that we are proud of, and hopefully one that will remain on your game shelf for many, many years to come.
Meeple Overboard on Brass:Birmingham
The folks from Meeple Overboard podcast got a preview of Brass: Birmingham at Saltcon a few weeks ago. They really seemed to enjoy it. You can listen to what they have to say by clicking below and scrolling to the 20 minute mark.

Manufacturing Update
Factory will resume production of Brass March 5. I will provide an updated status on everything once this has picked up again.
Photos
We have decided to photograph Brass when we receive preassembly samples, which will be more toward final assembly.
#5 & 6 Most Anticipated Games of 2018
Thanks to the votes of this community, Brass hit #5 & #6 spot on the list of 2018's most anticipated games! Check out the final list here! Thank you so much for all of your votes!
Logistics and Pre-order Cutoff
This week we will be arranging freight with our logistics partner to ensure smooth shipping from China to each zone's fulfillment partner. Preorders are still open. We will likely cut them off as soon as final quantities are submitted to our logistics partner. This will be within the next 2 weeks.
Dice Throne Hits Half Million Dollars
Dice Throne is currently the highest grossing Tabletop Game on Kickstarter, second only to the RPG book: Strongholds and Followers! Roxley's newest Kickstarter has been a wild ride (as they always are). We've crested $500,000 and are currently in the process of unlocked a second bonus hero. We are very happy and excited with the response we've received so far.

Status Report - 2018.02.11 - Dice Throne Kickstarter Valentines Day & Chinese New Year
almost 7 years ago
– Sun, Feb 11, 2018 at 09:53:37 PM
TL;DR - Chinese New Year has begun. Roxley's Dice Throne Kickstarter is launching February 14 at 9am Pacific Time!
Manufacturing Update - Happy Chinese New Year
Not much to report. Everything is going along well with no further delays. Factories are now on holiday celebrating Chinese new year.
Cautious Growth
Our objective has at Roxley always been to do 2 high quality projects per year. So far, we have been able to do a maximum of 1 per year. In 2016, we actually didn't even release a game. That doesn't sound like a lot, but with the amount of work we put into each game, it is actually a huge amount of work.
Over the past year, we have steadily grown our team, adding 2 new full time staff. Paul Saxberg, and Adam Wyse. These guys have taken over customer service and logistical duties from me and (frankly their skill sets are better suited for those jobs than mine), allowing me to focus on development and branding. Rest assured that we remain extremely cautious with the projects we agree to take on, and will remain unwilling to sacrifice the high threshold for quality that we have set. We will also ensure that new projects do not effect the timelines of our existing projects, like Brass.
Dice Throne: Season 2 Coming Valentines Day!
That's right, Roxley has a new Kickstarter coming Wednesday February 14 at 9am Pacific Time! Dice Throne is a heart-pumping, fast-playing dueling game of skilled card play & dice manipulation. It has been described often as King of Tokyo meets Magic The Gathering.
Dice Throne Season One was Kickstarted by Creators Nate Chatellier and Manny Trembley. Roxley has joined forces with them to make the already amazing experience even better with a new Roxley style presentation. Every box of Dice Throne that is ever purchased will be stand alone and cross compatible.

Status Report - 2018.01.28 - Iron Clays Photos
almost 7 years ago
– Mon, Jan 29, 2018 at 12:57:10 AM
TL;DR - Shipping / addon payments successfully through. Everything under way, no further hurdles reported by manufacturer. Photos of Iron Clays Below.
Manufacturing Update
Not much to report. Everything is going along well with no further delays. All components are being manufactured.
Iron Clays Photos
My beautiful wife Sharmilla was able to take some photos of the Iron Clays samples tonight. She did a fantastic job! We will also be sending a full set to Chad Michael for him to have his product photographer also take some photos of them.
Brass Photos
We will be doing a photo shoot of some final samples of Brass soon. There are a few items that we need in order to do this. One of which is a new box for Birmingham Deluxe, as the one we were showing at PAX South was destroyed by the TSA. The other thing we need are final updated board samples with matte lamination finish, as the one sample we had was Birmingham only, and it was in Russian :) . These items have been requested from the manufacturer.
Preorders Still Open For Now
We still have preorders open for anyone who would still like to purchase Brass Deluxe at a discount. Brass continues to sell very well through BackerKit... it's like we are still running a Kickstarter. We have given our final quantities to the manufacturer, so if you do know anyone who would want to purchase a copy, we still have some remaining, though we are not sure for how long.
